We’re looking for a dedicated Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our industry-leading team, based in Deeside.

With over 70 in-house professionals, we manage multi-million-pound contracts across the UK, always prioritising exacting standards and bespoke customer experiences.

 

The Role

 

As an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering creative and cost-efficient solutions across sectors such as ecology, landscaping, enabling works, and playground construction. This position is ideal for an experienced professional looking to advance your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

Tendering & Estimation:

 

  • Prepare tenders based on bills of quantities or specifications.
  • Conduct take-offs and produce robust bills of quantities.
  • Use estimating software to create accurate bid prices.

 

Procurement & Contract Management:

 

  • Obtain and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage variations, final accounts, and cost negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, including JCT/NEC suites.

 

Collaboration & Documentation:

 

  • Work closely with our Contracts Managers, Landscape Architects, and Designers.
  • Compile and submit tender documents.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines.

 

Sustainability & Ecology:

 

  • Contribute to projects that champion biodiversity net gains and ecological enhancements.

Essential Qualifications/Experience

What we’re looking for

 

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in estimating or commercial roles, ideally within landscaping or construction.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with cost and value management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desired Qualifications/Experience

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards
